Recently, I popped into one of my local Boots stores and I noticed a small Benefit stand holding little bowls dotted down the stand filled with mini benefit products but the ones that are slightly less popular as the i.e. Hoola bronzer or the They're Real! mascara. These were all priced at £5.00 each or buy 4 for £15.00 and you also get a free clear Benefit make-up/wash bag as part of the offer.
After I realised how good of a deal this was (minis of more popular products are usually £9.95 so you can see why I loved this deal haha!), I decided I just had to delve into my purse to spend the £15.00 worth of Benefit products (and of course very vital, make-up bag).
I absolutely love Benefit minis as the product itself is never ever compromised and neither is the packaging and I am always constantly being impressed and I have built up quite a collection of minis as 1. they're super cute, 2. they all fit in my make-up bag really well, 3. they're great for travelling and of course 5. they're much cheaper than the full sized product!
When deciding which products I wanted to buy, I instantly gravitated towards the Bene-tints and Posie-tints as I have always wanted to give them a go and was completely torn to which one to go for as I only wanted to get one or the other. After a long deliberation, I decided to take the plunge and got posie-tint - I have to admit, I think I was more swayed by the pretty sounding name and the colour of the box, imagining the colour to be exactly the same - but then is that ever the case?!
For those of you who aren't familiar with Benefit's bene and posie-tint, they are stains for both your lips and cheeks. Bene-tint is a fun but pretty red colour and the pose-tint is a bright but gentle pink colour.
Once I got it home I tried it out on my skin and my first impression was that it was a lot more fluorescent than I had imagined it to be and I wasn't quite sure about the colour with my skin tone but I might have another go when I'm feeling more adventurous! Think I might be purchasing bene-tint!
The next product I knew I HAD to pop in my basket was the High Beam Highlighter. As you will notice, I have only three products in this post and that is because both my mum and I really wanted to repurchase this product so we decided to get two of these instead of a fourth different product. My mum has the full size version and really loves it so she decided she wanted a smaller version that was easy to pack whenever she goes away. I also have it currently but in the small size again but its almost completely finished and I have had it for a while now so I thought it would be best that I bought another now.
Like the pose-tint, the product is in a little pot with a screw lid with a brush attached and is in a type of liquid form, but don't worry it isn't a watery consistency, it is a much more sticky formula that feels nice on your face. The colour itself is subtle yet you know its there with little teeny tiny sparkly bits in making the overall appearance a sheen.
Finally, I decided to choose a skin product as I had been forever wanting to try out they're skin range in their pretty pots but I hadn't heard much about them so was a little skeptical but wanted to find out an see anyway. As I was wanting an eye cream as I didn't have one as I had recently run out of one, I decided to choose the benefit It's Potent! to try (mentioned in my previous post).
I am currently using it and will be coming up for a week using it in a couple of days time and so far I am liking the creamy texture of it. It's a light eye cream and doesn't take a century to soak in either so its a win/win! However, apparently you have to have enough of this thing called "sleep" for it to help make the bags under your eyes go away - think it might be a while until I start seeing amazing results then, ha!
Below is the bag that you can get free with the offer and as you can see it fits in all of my every day make-up besides my brushes and make-up pallets as I like to store them separately. As you can also see, I very much like benefit products as four are visible and I can assure you, there are plenty more!
The bag itself though is pretty good considering its free, the plastic isn't thin and rubbishy and the zip is good apart from maybe the zippy bit could have been made stronger, but hey, it was free so I can't complain!
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading and, yep I know, this still isn't very short! I'll just have to practise!
Hope to see you soon,
